Ever heard of Hostmonster? Some might say yes; while others, no. They are, in fact, pretty new in the
web hosting business when compare to other web hosting companies. While being new does not mean being average, Hostmonster is one of the top web hosts in my list and I have quite a few websites hosted on them.
To help you picking up the right web hosting, I am going to share with you, based on my very own experience and personal
preferences, my personal review on Hostmonster hosting service.
Before we continue, do note that Hostmonster is currently owned by the same management in Bluehost (a very very reputable name in hosting business). Their hosting plans are more or less the same but for this article, we will just focus on the advantages/disadvantages of Hostmonster services.
What's good about HostMonster?
There are several reason why am I recommending Hostmonster, mainly due to their outstanding hosting features offered - unlimited domain, unlimited file storage plus bandwidth (aka, host unlimited website in one host), free domain for life, guaranteed 99% server uptime, and positive feedback
from existing customers (me included!)

In case you are planning (or already) to host multiple websites online, Hostmonster deal should be your choice as they are offering unlimited disk storage, bandwidth transfer and number of addon domains. In other words, you can have all your websites hosted on just one hosting account at Hostmonster with less than $7 per month.
Also, I have been using Hostmonsters services for quite some time and not much problem on the server uptime or customer supports. In fact, their customer support is more helpful and efficient than I expect.

What's bad about HostMonster?
Okay, now theres no way a hosting company can be perfect and yes, Hostmonster do have their weakness as well. What I dislike about Hostmonster is their over sensitive scam alerts. When I first signed up with them, my hosting account actually got deactivated with the reason possible information abuse which is ridiculous. Fortunately the customer support department at Hostmonster is responding quick enough and I got my account back in less than 24 hours.
A search on the Internet should alert you with these problems as there are quite a few of complaints on their account deactivated at

So, is HostMonster recommended?
Yes, Hostmonster is recommended mainly because their hosting plan is quite a bargain and I have very good experience using their services. In fact, I am recommending Hostmonster to most of my friends and families who are new to web hosting their price is very much affordable and they have all the necessary features for a personal or small business website.
